What's What @ E3 Pt. II

A much shorter summary this time, but click 'Read More' for the details

Nintendo / 3DS
Nintendo held their press conference and dropped a heap of new games and the Nintendo 3DS. The console will bring portable gaming into the new wave of technology by allowing games to be played in 3D. Only the top screen will be 3D though, with the touch screen remaining standard.

Sony Exclusives
Playstation 3 will be seeing more exclusive titles and content towards the end of the year and well into 2011 with games such as Killzone 3, Infamous 2 and Twisted Metal announced. Portal 2 has also been promised to be better on PS3... Not sure what that means at the moment, but i'm sure we'll find out soon enough.

Playstation Plus
Sony unveiled a new online subscription system to be added to the PSN. The new system will allow subscribers access to free and exclusive content as well as early access to demo's, beta's and whatever else they decide. Question has been raised to what happens if a person stops subscribing though, with the current answer seeming to be that they lose access to all the extra content they've obtained.

Playstation Move
Move was shown at the Sony press conference and currently seems to be the most responsive and accurate of the motion controllers. You will need to purchase the remotes separately (much like Wii's remote and nunchuck) plus Move requires the Playstation Eye. Plans have been stated to include Move support in a wide variety of games, including adding it to currently released games via a patch.

Games & Media
Games is what E3 is really about and there have been plenty of announcements, and even more trailers, gameplay footage and everything else you could imagine. I plan to wait until the end of E3 before attempting to put together a post with trailers, etc. but you can find pretty much everything on youtube in ten fold if you're really interested in something. Games that have caught my eye so far include Zelda: Skyward Sword, Kinectimals, Twisted Metal, Portal 2, Parasite Eve and Marvel vs Capcom 3.

As always, if there's anything you think deserves a mention, leave a comment using the handy comment box below.
