Epic Games have been going crazy with their XP Events on Gears of War 2 lately and if the next one is anything to go by, they aren't stopping any time soon. After the last event which gave players 8x XP, Rod Fergusson (Gears Executive Producer) has challenged the community to earn their own XP bonus. Basically he has promised that the XP multiplier for the next event will be the amount of his twitter followers divided by 500, so 4000 followers equals 8x, 5000 equals 10x, etc. If you're a Gears player, or just want to help Gears players get their experience up, then follow GearsViking on twitter.
