Stealth and Acrobatics Making A Comeback
One of the things that is pretty commonplace on the PS3 now is releasing compilation discs with touched up versions of PS2 games. Well it seems that trend may no longer be Sony-exclusive as ratings from ESRB suggest that the latest collections will be coming to Xbox too. Released a short time ago was the Prince of Persia HD collection which included the whole Sands of Time trilogy, and coming soon is the Splinter Cell HD Collection, which includes the original Splinter Cell, as well as Pandora Tomorrow and Chaos Theory. There is still no official confirmation of this, but if it does turn out to be true, it'll be interesting to see if they go the PS3 route, releasing the bundles in disc form, or release each title separately through the Xbox Live Arcade.

Advanced Animus Training
Ubisoft has now released the second load of DLC for Assassins Creed: Brotherhood. As with the first Animus DLC, the Animus Project 2.0 pack includes a new map, Pienza, and a new game mode, Chest Capture, and comes to you for the low, low price of free. Pienza is the typical acrobatic friendly type of map you should be expecting of AC:B by now, while Chest Capture is a whole new way to play. In Chest Capture, players will be split into 2 3-man teams, with one team being given the goal of following their radars to chests which need to be looted, and the other team trying to stop them. Sure, it's basically just the Assault gametype you'd expect to see on any FPS, but as with everything else, the unique style of Brotherhood's online mode makes the game more ridiculous than usual.

Ubisoft Are In For A Fight
Zuffa, the parent company to UFC have filed a lawsuit against Ubisoft over a slogan that appears on the back of the NTSC version of Fighters Uncaged. The back of the case boasts the tagline "Become the ultimate fighting weapon" which the UFC feels wrongly creates an association with their brand and could be damaging to their image. No word on how much they're suing for just yet, but they ARE demanding that Ubisoft stop producing the game and destroy any remaining materials and/or games that have the offending slogan on them.

Good Times For All
If you're the type of person who likes a bit of the bizarre with their FPS experience, then keep an eye out for Ubisoft's upcoming arcade title Bloody Good Time. Set on a Hollywood movie set, the game will see players navigating levels taken from their favourite stereotypical horror movies and attempting to take each other out with a range of weapons including some more bizarre choices, like an exploding remote control rat. The game runs on the ever popular source engine and will be hitting the Xbox LIVE Arcade and Steam on October 27th. Check out the trailer below... It doesn't show you any gameplay, but you get an idea of the level of ridiculousness they're going for.
Sidenote: the copyright information along the bottom at the end mentions Kinect. Whether this game will be Kinect compatible or Microsoft has just decided to mention Kinect in all of it's copyright material is yet to be seen.

Brotherhood Beta Dated
The Assassins Creed: Brotherhood multiplayer beta has now been dated as starting October 4th... but remember it's exclusive to PS3 owners who have pre-ordered the game.
Shadow Boxing
After the news that Fable 3 wouldn't feature Kinect support at launch, it started to look like Kinect was moving more and more towards the gimmicky game library everyone associates with the Wii. Luckily Ubisoft are going to change that... No, they're not really, but they've announced a cool fighting game for Kinect. Fighters Unleashed looks to be a cross between Street Fighter and UFC and will feature complete Kinect control... Just make sure you're not standing near any solid objects when you play it.

Betahood
I recently received the usual newsletter email from Ubisoft and noticed it has a button saying 'Get access to the PS3 limited multiplayer beta' of Assassins Creed: Brotherhood. Sadly, when i click said button i'm taken to a Ubisoft 'page cannot be found' page. I'm sure Ubisoft just accidentally put out the email earlier than they've put the actual page up (considering i haven't heard the beta mentioned anywhere else yet), but this does tell us that the beta should be here soon and it will only be available to PS3 owners.
